Our Patient Father God

I was staring at our “babies” a few days ago when this truth was instilled in my heart: the great patience of our Father God.

My sister and I got these plants a few weeks back and had to learn how to take care of them (I didn’t want any plants initially since I’ve always thought I would end up neglecting and killing them 😅).

Anyways, after a few days of attending to their needs like watering them, exposing them to indirect sunlight if able to, and even talking to them, I was getting impatient and restless, seeing that there was no change in any of them. No new leaf, no buds, nothing.

Then the epiphany: the great patience of our God. We don’t really think about it but if we looked at His point of view towards us, we would really appreciate His patience with our growth in Him. All the things He would allow in our lives, the joy and sorrow, success and failure, gains and loses and even the times we would either please Him or disappoint Him, He would use that for our growth towards Christlikeness. And He wasn’t restless or impatient or anxious whenever we stumble or take a wrong turn. He patiently waits for us to realize our mistakes (realization that comes with humility and humbleness as the Holy spirit convicts us) and lovingly expects a new leaf in our lives to spring forth, knowing in all His infinite wisdom and sovereignty that He faithfully works out all things for the good of those who loves Him and are called according to His purpose. Waste and delays are in existing in His vocabulary, meaning He doesn’t waste anything and there is no delay in His timeline since He makes things beautiful in His perfect timing.

So I encourage you, my friends, when we fall into sin or into waywardness, don’t lose hope. Instead let us come boldly to His throne of grace and humble ourselves before this patient Father who takes delight patiently in the growth of all His creations. Hope in Jesus! Hope in the finished work of Christ at calvary!

If you want to know more about this patient Father God in Christ Jesus, I would like to invite you to say this prayer.

Romans 8:28 (Part 1)

Romans 8:28 (NKJV)
28 And we know that all things work together
for good to those who love God,
to those who are the called
according to His purpose.

One of the most loved verses in the Bible, this promise offers such comfort to believers everywhere. It gives us an assurance that everything that happens in our lives, especially the hard and difficult times, will be used by God for our good and His glory. But I wonder how much truth do we really understand regarding this passage. Let’s slowly take it apart and learn more.

And.

The preceding verses of this part of Romans 8 talks about the suffering that we, believers, have to endure at present (Romans 8:18) and the bondage of corruption that the creation is now temporarily captive of (Romans 8:21). Along with these are our responses to these suffering and bondage, that we, ourselves and the whole creation, groan and long to be delivered from it and let the glory in us be finally revealed (Romans 8:18-23). Now the next verses come with the promises of hope, perseverance and help from the Holy Spirit through intercession (Romans 8:24-27) where our verse comes next as an addition and a conclusion.

Yes, we will have tribulations in this life that we need to endure. Yes, we will long to be set free from the evil that our innate human nature has. We will experience pain and suffering, failures and setbacks. But God promises us His comfort amidst all these. He promises hope in Him as we persevere and eagerly wait on Him. God promises that the Helper, the Holy Spirit that iswill aid us through rough and confusing times when we do not know what to pray for and even how to pray anymore. And lastly, He promises that all that we will go thru will be used by Him.

we know that.

To know in a sense is to have the possession of a certain truth, fact, or knowledge as Merriam Webster defines it and most people superficially perceive it as only that. To know is to be informed. But actually, to know goes beyond getting the information. To know means having direct cognition, awareness and understanding of the information given, also as defined by Merriam-Webster. The mind should be able to process and digest the information through the use of our senses. The information will not be left as it is but it will create something inside of the receiver and be utilized and manifested outwardly. It isn’t something of mere passive receiving. It has to be something that is actively perceiving.

Having said that, this promise that we have in Romans 8:28 should not be just a mere fact or information we know about God, like “Oh, I know God is like this and that; I know He also will do this and that”, but it should be an unshakable rock where our faith and trust in His character as our God should be deeply rooted. This amazing truth should manifest in our daily lives: how we interact with people, how we face challenges, how we fight sin and the battles within ourselves, how we make choices and decisions wherever we maybe. These actions proves that we have a great understanding and perception of who God is in our lives and what He is capable to do.

all things.

Ah! This one made me smile. Usually when we read this part, we right away think of good and bad things. We think of the comfort and pain we have in this life, our successes and defeats, health and sickness, blessings and afflictions, joys and sorrows. But we should not limit it with these.

When the Apostle Paul said “all things“, he really meant it. It includes the big and small events in our lives, from the smallest decision we make to hardest choice we have to choose. Even the things that we think are unnoticeable and insignificant, the implications of our actions, well, God includes that as well.

It also includes the times we reluctantly disobey God due to fear and doubt and also the times we surrendered and willingly  obey Him.

It includes all sorts of people we meet and know and may it be for a few seconds or a few hours or days everywhere.

It includes our past, present and our future.

It even includes the places we have been thru. The sights we have seen. The experiences we have.

It includes our hopes and dreams, our failures and nightmares.

It includes all things my finite mind can think of and cannot think of anymore.

All these things are not out of God’s self-indulgence or compulsion or ignorance. God, with all His infinite wisdom, will have all these things used by Him and not be wasted. All things.

work together.

And everything listed up will work together! HUH?! Really??? Even the times when I failed Him because I cheated? Even the times I got angry and hurt someone? Even when I deliberately disobeyed Him? I mean good and wonderful things, when combine, are meant to produce good and wonderful results. We get that. But to add the bad things, the sour things, the bitter things, even the evil, ugly, gruesome, scary and dirty things? Oh Yes! It’s like God making a delicious meal with a recipe including all that we are and all that we have. Adding mud and manure to sugar and cream! Only He, in His awesome power and infinite wisdom, can mix everything together, no exclusions, and make everything work together in harmony to produce a delightful taste!

No Longer Slaves to Fear. I am a CHILD of GOD!

Romans 8:15

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”
Romans 8:15 NLT

I have found my journal. A journal that is different from my normal journal with writings of my messages to God and His message to me. In this journal, I had compiled His promises in a form of drawings or sketch or what you could say it as an art (whatever 😂😉😳).

I found this verse in one of the pages

I love this verse. I love it the most when I understood it intently. God position us to the safe place, the moment we believe that He raised Jesus Christ from the dead. We are released from God’s wrath.

At the cross, Jesus took our infirmities; Jesus took our condemnation; Jesus took our sicknesses and diseases. Jesus redeemed us and saved us from our sins. He delivers us. Jesus is the main bridge for us to call God our Abba (Father).

Because of Jesus obedience we can live the life that is full of grace. The Grace which everyone is undeserved to possess it.

But God is a gracious God. His goodness is can not be measured. His intelligence is can not be fathomed. He is the Sovereign God.

He had given us the sonship through Christ Jesus. What a privilege to have that.

Let He be a Father to you. A Father who will do everything for His son own good sake. A Father who is so generous when you ask. A Father who is so so good. Because that is who He is!

If you want to know more of Him more. Click here to receive this kind of privilege.

Learn through the PROCESS

Because through the process, the Lord is with us. Though the process, in our ups and down, the Lord is with us. Through the process, on our bumpy road, the Lord is with us!

His promise is true!

His promise is perfect!

His promise is sovereign!

His promise is irrevocable!

Whomever are Christians here believes that we are Victorious in Jesus. In fact that is true. We believe because of our faith.

Our life our secured. We are set apart. We are justified. We are glorified. This is the promise the Lord our God had bestowed upon to those who believes in His Son Jesus Christ and are saved, that’s John 3:16 had emphasized.

However, the promise of Victory is the end result. The Bible does not tells us that we will have a smooth sailing life while we are still here on earth.

The promise in Jeremiah 29:11 of plan to prosper us and not to harm us is true and for our own good sake, but it does not constitute that everything will be straight and easy for us.

How about in times of we look forward to victories and triumphs in our life but it doesn’t happen the way we want it to be? Perhaps, we have disappointments. Anger. Hatred. Sadness. It will start to move down. Temporarily, you will stun and ask yourself, why? What happened?

That’s normal. We are still human.

Don’t fret. The promise is still powerful! We are still victorious and triumphants through Christ Jesus!

But how are we able to avoid these disappointments, anger, hatred, sadness if it doesn’t go on the way we want it to be? And this what the Lord had revealed to me … ENJOY THE PROCESS, LEARN THROUGH THE PROCESS!

His message for 2019

Because through the process, the Lord is with us. Though the process, in our ups and down, the Lord is with us. Through the process, on our bumpy road, the Lord is with us!

His promise is true!

His promise is perfect!

His promise is sovereign!

His promise is irrevocable!

Because what the Scripture says that

Deutorony 31:8

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Isaiah 41:10-13

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all. For I, the Lordyour God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

So therefore, during the process let us enjoy it. During the process let us learn through it because He is IMMANUEL even through the PROCESS!!!

Glory to God.

God’s Final Word: His Son – His Joy!

Have you ever felt the same, when you finished reading 1 book in the Bible and yet you still want to continue reading one book which the Spirit prompting you to start reading? Once you start, you can’t stop!

I believe there are people here who feel the same way as mine. O, BTW, it is good suggestion to read Bible reading aside of you alone, is with the group. AND this how “Build Life Together through the Gospel” was born.

It is a group of women who passionately wants to seek the Word of God in the same vision and spirits. To spur one another with Spirit had gifted each one of them. Believing with the revelation from God to each and everyone; had to be shared and be encouraged as an inspiration to everyone.

As we spur one another, we will do the same to other women surrounds us and will do the same for His Kingdom to build life through the Gospel. It started with three and now we are seven and will continue to count more in Jesus’ name!

We had finished reading the book of Romans that inspired us to read because of the book of Acts. Now that we had finished Romans and so the prompting is to read the book of Hebrews. Let us not be legalistic here, these women are not Theologians but Inspired to kick their spirits from a slumber and had the wick of the fire to put fan to flame of which the Spirit had put in their hearts.

The beginning of Hebrews chapter one is God’s Final Word: His Son (NIV)

Reading this chapter without the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit will lead you to a boring story. At glance it is a repeated story or re-telling by the Author of this book of which whom he emphasized that Jesus is the ultimate and Superior above them all– the Angels.

Hebrews 1:3

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful Word. “

In verses 5-9 is the Son Superior to Angels.

For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father” ? Or again, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son” ? And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” In speaking of the angels he says, “He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire.” But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” – Hebrews 1:5‭-‬9 NIV

And to this my heart leaped with Joy!

In verse 9b says “your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of Joy.

Jesus is the ultimate JOY that we could ever had. It sums up the total need of our being to survive in this fallen world.

The JOY that speaks of our COMFORT.

The JOY that speaks of our PEACE.

The JOY that speaks of our REST.

The JOY that speaks of our SATISFACTION.

The JOY that speaks of our CONTENTMENT.

The JOY that speaks of our HEALING.

The JOY that speaks of our DELIVERANCE.

The JOY that is unexplainable and unspeakable and He is JESUS.

This chapter speaks only one thing.

The JOY that is lacking in your life that created void in your heart will be filled through if you will know JESUS.

He offers a relationship and Not a religion that lead to Salvation.

Nothing else we could ever has this kind of JOY to someone else’s but only from JESUS.

Now for you who are reading this article. It is not an accident that you read this untill this point. There is a purpose and reason why you hop upon this page and make time to read.

Jesus wanting to have a relationship with you. If you are willing from your heart. We will invite you in a small prayer. Prayer is not a magic but it means that we are talking to God. Click Salvation to lead you in this prayer of Salvation and to understand who is Jesus to your life.

JESUS LOVES YOU!

Created “Perfectly” By God

A personal experience has inspired me in writing this blog. When I was in grade school, I was often bullied so I tried to fit in and be a ‘somehow’ bully-type student. This continues until secondary school, subconsciously until I reached my university days. I carried this until my first job in Philippines, I was working like I was competing for superb applause and praise from the people around me. I even came to the point where I skip lunch just to accomplish a deadline, seeking for pleasing recognition from my immediate supervisor. But when I met Jesus, He showed me that I was indeed created perfectly by God. That no one can turn me down, I am His son, I am precious, I am chosen! Daily revelations from God by meditating in His words have given me clear directions where to put my focus, energy, resources and time.

According to a study, a cold hard data shows that narcissistic disorder has been found in population with ages starting from 20, to be three times higher than those that are 65 years old and older. Narcissistic disorder is the pursuit of gratification for vanity or egotistic admiration of self-attributes. The term was derived from Greek mythology of young Narcissus who fell in love with his own image reflected in a pool of water.

Everyone has been very conscious with everything about themselves. From their head to toes, from the food they eat, how they look, the manner they speak, having latest gadgets, being into the latest fashion trends or hairstyles. There is nothing wrong with all of these. But unconsciously, this level of consciousness has been the result of our desire to conform with the world, to be liked, to be loved, to be accepted and to fit into the world.

“And do not be conformed to this world (any longer with its superficial values and customs), but be transformed and progressively changed (as you mature spiritually) by the renewing of your mind (focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes), so that you may prove (for yourselves) what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect (in His plan and purpose for you).

Romans 12:2 (AMP)

A personal experience has inspired me in writing this blog. When I was in grade school, I was often bullied so I tried to fit in and be a ‘somehow’ bully-type student. 1. You are God’s masterpiece

He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity (a sense of divine purpose) in the human heart (a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God)—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (AMP)

We are God’s masterpiece. An art done by famous artists can be imitated, yet it cannot be valued the same as the original copy. It is the same thing with us, we are unique masterpiece of God, no one can replace us. At the same time, we cannot imitate someone nor pretend to be someone and live our entire lives pretending.

In a recent interview to a YouTube-star turned celebrity in Philippines who underwent physical enhancement, he said that he is very happy in achieving what he wants (good physical looks) and with this (new look, new him) many people will love and like him.

Our happiness in life should not be dependent on other people. The Bible says, “He has made everything (including “us”) beautiful and appropriate in our time”. Man can fail us anytime, anywhere, but God’s love never fail, it never runs dry on us. “He remembered us in our weakness. His faithful love endures forever” (Psalm 136:23 NLT)

It is better to take refuge in the Lord
Than to trust in man.”

Psalm 118:8

Albert Einstein once said, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid” We are God’s masterpiece and He is the only one who knows us, our purpose, and prepared the plans and ways for us even before we were born.

For You formed my innermost parts;
You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

Psalm 139:13-14

Henry Ford once found someone down the road fixing his car engine. He stopped and extend a help to a man. The man looks at him believing that Henry Ford cannot do anything. Suddenly, Henry Ford asked the man to start the engine and it worked. The man asked, “How did you know how to fix this car?” Henry Ford answered humbly, “It was me, who created that car”.

2. You Are Created For A Purpose

When I became a Christian, I learned by heart that I was created by God for a purpose. God did not allowed Moses to be adopted by the Pharaoh’s daughter for no reason, but to set free the Israelite from captivity. Through pursuing Christ above all of my insecurities in life, He is making a holistic change (change from within) in me.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a (special)people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies (the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections) of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light

1 Peter 2:9

I cannot imagine that God has put me into leadership in our life group, being entrusted to do things that will usher His presence to the people. I can say that now, I am far from a shy, self-centered, me-myself-and-I me. But God put more compassion in my heart and love for God and His people.

3. Nothing Can Separate You From The Love of Christ

Pastor Steven Furtick emphasizes that we have been attached too much to the praises that we may get from others that even from time to time we check our social medias for the number of “likes”, “shares” and even ‘comments”.

As humans, we tend to seek tangible love from the people around us through their appreciation of us. We sometimes neglect the love of God because we can not see Him. A common saying says, “What you see is what you get”.

Not because you do not see God means He does not love you. He loves you and nothing can separate you fro the love of Christ.

As a conclusion, God created us perfectly for a purpose of showing how much He loves us. Despite how much we saw our imperfections, Jesus took all our infirmities so that we might be the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.

Being “IN”-style

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will” – Romans 12:2

Following a famous celebrity? Adapting a famous Koreanovela in your life? Thinking to sink and absorb the way society goes today? Desiring for a white skin tone? Aiming for a slimmer and fitter body?

Our values and spirituality are easily infected by the ‘world’. It is like a ‘cancer cell’ being ignored after detection, and letting it spread in the system.
You can always examine the food before you eat, even chew it before you swallow. And spit it if it is not good. Most of the time, we look into the packaging because it is attractive, but have we ever asked questions like:

  1. Is it good?
  2. Is it pleasing?
  3. Is it perfect?

‘Be transformed by the renewing of your mind’ by setting your sight to the things that are in heaven. The world may rebuke us thousand times, but whats the value of those rebukes when we are standing for the truth in Jesus?

When I Am In Troubled Water

I see myself as a swimmer,

I jumped, I dipped into the water.

The feeling of soaking and getting wet,

Addressing  the rage of the troubled sweat.

When I am in troubled water,

I am trying to swim faster!

Looking for something to hold on,

Persevering to carry on.

For an unknown way, I am so worried.

Swimming is an edge, yet so afraid!

In the surging waves,

I am hopeful! I will be saved!

But shouting was no use,

Grasping for air is my excuse.

So I continue to survive,

In a life that strives.

When I am in troubled water,

I asked myself further,

“Why do i fear?”

Because no One’s near?

But I know that I’m like Peter,

“LORD, I will come to YOU in the water”

The wind blows wilder,

And I begin to sink deeper!

But JESUS is gracious,

When I call, HE come and rescues!

HE immediately stretches HIS hands

HE pulled me up so I can stand.

I of little faith,

Saved by GOD who’s too Great.

The LORD who always saves me,

Is not a lifeguard nor a nobody

But in the water HE walks

As HE saves an ordinary folk.

Oh how mighty are YOU my LORD,

In the surge of a storm YOU can’t afford

To lose a sheep YOU are caring,

Gave YOUR life, continuously saving!

What can I offer back to YOU?

I can only offer my heart YOU knew.

It might not be pure, it’s broken, untrue.

YOU still accept it, I have nothing to argue.

In YOUR mercy I became pure, anew!

Failure: A positive note!

This is how 1 John 4:4 manifests in our lives as Christians.” That greater is He who is in you than who is this world. ” We will overcome this failure by running unto God; by relying unto Him; by trusting unto Him. That is how Great He is in us!

Ye are of God, my little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

1 John 4:4 ASV

Recently I am in the midst of trembling situation. I felt overwhelmed with all the deadlines or meeting timelines at work. This made me focus at work and de-focus on my spiritual life. However, I am aware of my situation, but my flesh tends to rely on results of my work then I will be at peace. This is me being human–afraid of failure.

At least most of us are afraid of failure. If we encountered failure, some of us tend to lose self-esteem. Some, tend to fluctuate their confidence. Some,  tend to be hiding. Stuck in one corner, even, do not want to come out. Felt ashamed. No face. As if being swallowed by the land.

Failure makes us trembling. Hearing someone is a failure, we belittle the person. People start to talk about that person and became a busy body on finding out why that person is a failure. In your workplace for an instance. A big project had been assigned to you.  If the result were not successful, despite efforts, hardwork, sweat-and-blood given, you are a failure. Failure. Failure. Failure

But why we fail? What is the measurement of failure?  You lose money in a business? You did not pass the exam? You did not finish your studies? You failed in your presentation and interview? You failed in your marriage? You failed in your relationships?  Because no good results were produced! And this how we measure it—This is reality in this world. We gauge it with results.

Reading  1 John 4:4  had given me great leap of faith in facing failure in this world. That this word-trembling, sucking self-esteem — failure is actually a positive note for Christians. That when we look upon our situation and seems nothing could be done,  that is where we get down on our knees and pray to God.

This were we started to rely, depend, trust unto God. We are only human. When things seems right. We are ‘ok’ with God. The feeling and relationship with Him is ‘ok’. But when things is bad, we are ‘best’ with God. We run to Him, we cry out loud unto Him and pleading unto Him for a help. The feeling is unexplainable when we are satisfied in His presence.

All along God is with us. This is where He will made His distinction between His people and of this world (Exodus 8:23a). Christians when seems failing; the instinct is to run to Him.

This is how 1 John 4:4 manifests in our lives as Christians.” That greater is He who is in you than who is this world. ” We will overcome this failure by running unto God; by relying unto Him; by trusting unto Him. That is how Great He is in us!

All glory to God!💞
