It turns out decisional forgiveness, as the department of psychology at the University of Munich refers to it, is necessary, but it’s not enough. A personal experience has inspired me in writing this blog. When I was in grade school, I was often bullied so I tried to fit in and be a 'somehow' bully-type student. This continues until secondary school, subconsciously until I reached my university days. I carried this until my first job in Philippines, I was working like I was competing for superb applause and praise from the people around me. I even came to the point where I skip lunch just to accomplish a deadline, seeking for pleasing recognition from my immediate supervisor. But when I met Jesus, He showed me that I was indeed created perfectly by God. That no one can turn me down, I am His son, I am precious, I am chosen! Daily revelations from God by meditating in His words have given me clear directions where to put my focus, energy, resources and time.
Thanking God for loving me. Thanking God for His Grace. Because of His Grace, His kindness felt prominently that lead me to repentance. I am so blessed. Knowing the power of the cross take us to redemption. IT IS FINISHED!

Likewise with God's promises. It is alive. It is living. It is His Word. It has its meaning to us. Though some of His promises was spoken according to the history, was to the people of Israel, God will make it sure that He will make it happen to us as well. His promises will never be in past tense. It will always be in present and future tense. That is how faithful He is.
