The Power of the Cross

❤️For the message of the CROSS is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the POWER OF GOD.

1 Corinthians 1:18 NIV❤️

The power of the cross is the power of God for those who believes. For some that they do not understand the meaning of the cross. For it is written,

I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate. ( 1 Corinthians 1:19)

Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.

It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 1:20‭-‬31 NIV

Forgiveness

It turns out decisional forgiveness, as the department of psychology at the University of Munich refers to it, is necessary, but it’s not enough.

Moving forward requires our emotional forgiveness, which is bad news for those of us who have trained our emotions to wipe their feet at the door and stay out of logic’s way.

No Longer Slaves to Fear. I am a CHILD of GOD!

Romans 8:15

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”
Romans 8:15 NLT

I have found my journal. A journal that is different from my normal journal with writings of my messages to God and His message to me. In this journal, I had compiled His promises in a form of drawings or sketch or what you could say it as an art (whatever 😂😉😳).

I found this verse in one of the pages

I love this verse. I love it the most when I understood it intently. God position us to the safe place, the moment we believe that He raised Jesus Christ from the dead. We are released from God’s wrath.

At the cross, Jesus took our infirmities; Jesus took our condemnation; Jesus took our sicknesses and diseases. Jesus redeemed us and saved us from our sins. He delivers us. Jesus is the main bridge for us to call God our Abba (Father).

Because of Jesus obedience we can live the life that is full of grace. The Grace which everyone is undeserved to possess it.

But God is a gracious God. His goodness is can not be measured. His intelligence is can not be fathomed. He is the Sovereign God.

He had given us the sonship through Christ Jesus. What a privilege to have that.

Let He be a Father to you. A Father who will do everything for His son own good sake. A Father who is so generous when you ask. A Father who is so so good. Because that is who He is!

If you want to know more of Him more. Click here to receive this kind of privilege.

Learn through the PROCESS

Because through the process, the Lord is with us. Though the process, in our ups and down, the Lord is with us. Through the process, on our bumpy road, the Lord is with us!

His promise is true!

His promise is perfect!

His promise is sovereign!

His promise is irrevocable!

Whomever are Christians here believes that we are Victorious in Jesus. In fact that is true. We believe because of our faith.

Our life our secured. We are set apart. We are justified. We are glorified. This is the promise the Lord our God had bestowed upon to those who believes in His Son Jesus Christ and are saved, that’s John 3:16 had emphasized.

However, the promise of Victory is the end result. The Bible does not tells us that we will have a smooth sailing life while we are still here on earth.

The promise in Jeremiah 29:11 of plan to prosper us and not to harm us is true and for our own good sake, but it does not constitute that everything will be straight and easy for us.

How about in times of we look forward to victories and triumphs in our life but it doesn’t happen the way we want it to be? Perhaps, we have disappointments. Anger. Hatred. Sadness. It will start to move down. Temporarily, you will stun and ask yourself, why? What happened?

That’s normal. We are still human.

Don’t fret. The promise is still powerful! We are still victorious and triumphants through Christ Jesus!

But how are we able to avoid these disappointments, anger, hatred, sadness if it doesn’t go on the way we want it to be? And this what the Lord had revealed to me … ENJOY THE PROCESS, LEARN THROUGH THE PROCESS!

His message for 2019

Because through the process, the Lord is with us. Though the process, in our ups and down, the Lord is with us. Through the process, on our bumpy road, the Lord is with us!

His promise is true!

His promise is perfect!

His promise is sovereign!

His promise is irrevocable!

Because what the Scripture says that

Deutorony 31:8

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Isaiah 41:10-13

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all. For I, the Lordyour God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

So therefore, during the process let us enjoy it. During the process let us learn through it because He is IMMANUEL even through the PROCESS!!!

Glory to God.

God’s Final Word: His Son – His Joy!

Have you ever felt the same, when you finished reading 1 book in the Bible and yet you still want to continue reading one book which the Spirit prompting you to start reading? Once you start, you can’t stop!

I believe there are people here who feel the same way as mine. O, BTW, it is good suggestion to read Bible reading aside of you alone, is with the group. AND this how “Build Life Together through the Gospel” was born.

It is a group of women who passionately wants to seek the Word of God in the same vision and spirits. To spur one another with Spirit had gifted each one of them. Believing with the revelation from God to each and everyone; had to be shared and be encouraged as an inspiration to everyone.

As we spur one another, we will do the same to other women surrounds us and will do the same for His Kingdom to build life through the Gospel. It started with three and now we are seven and will continue to count more in Jesus’ name!

We had finished reading the book of Romans that inspired us to read because of the book of Acts. Now that we had finished Romans and so the prompting is to read the book of Hebrews. Let us not be legalistic here, these women are not Theologians but Inspired to kick their spirits from a slumber and had the wick of the fire to put fan to flame of which the Spirit had put in their hearts.

The beginning of Hebrews chapter one is God’s Final Word: His Son (NIV)

Reading this chapter without the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit will lead you to a boring story. At glance it is a repeated story or re-telling by the Author of this book of which whom he emphasized that Jesus is the ultimate and Superior above them all– the Angels.

Hebrews 1:3

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful Word. “

In verses 5-9 is the Son Superior to Angels.

For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father” ? Or again, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son” ? And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” In speaking of the angels he says, “He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire.” But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” – Hebrews 1:5‭-‬9 NIV

And to this my heart leaped with Joy!

In verse 9b says “your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of Joy.

Jesus is the ultimate JOY that we could ever had. It sums up the total need of our being to survive in this fallen world.

The JOY that speaks of our COMFORT.

The JOY that speaks of our PEACE.

The JOY that speaks of our REST.

The JOY that speaks of our SATISFACTION.

The JOY that speaks of our CONTENTMENT.

The JOY that speaks of our HEALING.

The JOY that speaks of our DELIVERANCE.

The JOY that is unexplainable and unspeakable and He is JESUS.

This chapter speaks only one thing.

The JOY that is lacking in your life that created void in your heart will be filled through if you will know JESUS.

He offers a relationship and Not a religion that lead to Salvation.

Nothing else we could ever has this kind of JOY to someone else’s but only from JESUS.

Now for you who are reading this article. It is not an accident that you read this untill this point. There is a purpose and reason why you hop upon this page and make time to read.

Jesus wanting to have a relationship with you. If you are willing from your heart. We will invite you in a small prayer. Prayer is not a magic but it means that we are talking to God. Click Salvation to lead you in this prayer of Salvation and to understand who is Jesus to your life.

JESUS LOVES YOU!

All the colors of the rainbow

““I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”” Revelation 1:8 NLT

There’s seven main colors in a rainbow. Everyone knows that. ROY G BIV is the name to remember, the mnemonic device to keep those colors for easy access in your brain. But in reality, there is an infinite number of colors. There’s millions, billions even, of hues in between those letters up there.

However, there’s only so much that the human mind can process. All those shades simply aren’t distinguishable to the naked eye. So, technically, logically, we know they’re there. But in the physical world, we have to quantify. We have to define only those that we can see, either by hex values, or by the actual color name.

There’s only so much that our brains can contain, only so much that our eyes can see, only so much that we can understand. Given this, is it so difficult then to fathom that God is greater than anything we can imagine? That He is omnipotent and beyond all things?

If we can believe in the existence of colors in between colors, even when we do not see, why can’t we extend this same belief in the existence of God in all aspects of our life, in between the lines and the cracks and the most minute of details?

I believe in God our Father. I believe in Christ the Son. I believe in the Holy Spirit. Our God is three in One.

Thank You Jesus for giving me eyes that see beyond the colors of the rainbow.

Endurance

Philippians 3:17-21 NLT

Life with Jesus is certainly a fun-filled, exciting life. It is full of love, and hugs, and warm thoughts, and comfort, and peace, and joy.

However, sometimes, it’s not easy. Because God loves us so much, He wants us to have the full experience, not just a one-sided, one-dimensional kind of life. That wouldn’t be very interesting at all.

That means that in this world, there will be pain, sorrow, and hardship. God actually designed it so that life would be that way.

But the best thing is that God also made it so that we would be able to go through it. He made it so that not only would we be able to endure all that life throws at us, but that in the process we would also learn something. And not just at the end, but also all throughout.

“Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example.” Philippians 3:17 NLT

A good reminder for us here is the life of Paul the Apostle. He used to be a persecutor of Christians who got converted to Christianity by the hand of God Himself. And then he became one of God’s greatest servants.

When Paul answered the call of God, he wanted to do so many things for the Kingdom. He wanted to convert as many people as possible, he wanted to build churches, he wanted to love God in the best way that he possibly can. But then all of these did not come easy. Here’s a list of just some of the things that happened to Paul:

  • He was beaten and even had heavy rocks thrown at him
  • He was shipwrecked
  • He was put in jail multiple times
  • He had people who wanted to kill him, and he had to escape huddled in a basket
  • He was bitten by a deadly snake
  • He had a chronic terminal condition of some sort (perhaps eye trouble, I wouldn’t be surprised)

You would think even just one of those would stop him from serving Jesus. Can you imagine what his will must have been made of?

“But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.”. Philippians 3:20 NLT

Thankfully, God was with him at all times, and he was empowered to press on despite everything keeping him from his serving.

“He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.” Philippians 3:21 NLT

No matter how empty we think ourselves to be, there is always still something left over inside us, for us to do the task before us. This power comes from Jesus, who is an infinite fount of strength and power.

The Power of Prayer

I was raised in a pious Roman Catholic family, and we went to church every Sunday. Even at a very young age, we went to big people church, with full length masses that seemed to go and on. But I was a very obedient child, and I never missed one service. And every Sunday, I had one fervent, heartfelt prayer.

“Lord, please make me tall enough to reach the pews when I kneel.”

This was seriously my prayer at that time. Because each and every time we have to kneel, I didn’t have anywhere to place my praying hands. I was too short to reach the ledge of the pew when I was kneeling down.

Full disclosure, I wasn’t a very tall kid. Right now I know I’m the perfect height, but back then, I knew I was a little bit shorter, a little bit cuter, than my other friends.

(Full, full disclosure — I was always the smallest in the classroom.  I never got picked for teams in PE.  At the end of prep school (the level before you start kindergarten), my uncle was surprised that I was part of the graduating class.  He thought that all along that I was just going there to play.  Because I looked too small to be going to school already.)

And I really prayed so so hard to Jesus that He would miraculously make me taller so that I can reach that pew ledge.

I’m not going to reveal what age I finally reached that coveted height, but let’s just suffice it to say that I can now happily reach that ledge when I have to kneel down on a pew.

(I have some bonus tips for all you boys and girls right now: eat your vegetables, and do as many afternoon naps as you can. Those two things would have saved me many years of unanswered prayers about my height.)

Now that I know more about God, I should’ve asked for more.  I know that God is a God of wisdom, and perfect timing, and answered prayers.

And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
1 John 5:15 NLT

Prayer is powerful!  Even the few mumbled words of thanks we say before each meal; even the vague, jumbled thoughts of blessings for the family before we go to sleep.  Prayer is very powerful.

And not because it is the means by which our requests get sent to some sort of genie-god, who will only approve and process them if they are submitted appropriately.

It is also not because it is the only way that a sort of judge-god will hear our petitions, and mete out punishments or rewards accordingly.

Prayer is powerful because it is the outward expression of our faith, a vocal confirmation of our belief.

When we pray, the first thing that happens is that we are affirming to ourselves, and to God, that we believe in Him.  That’s why when we pray, we start out by saying who it is that we are praying to, and declaring His greatness.

9 This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:9-10 NIV

The second thing that happens is that we are acknowledging the extent of His capabilities.

4 He counts the stars
and calls them all by name.
5 How great is our Lord! His power is absolute!
His understanding is beyond comprehension!
Psalm 147:4-5 NLT

But it is important to remember that even though we know the extent of His power, it doesn’t mean that our prayers will get answered by the sheer force of our own earthly belief.

Our prayers don’t get answered by how “well” we pray.  There is no checklist, no set rules, or number of words to use.  There is no timeline or special formula.

Which is not to say that it is a hopeless, fruitless exercise to try and get better at doing it.  Far from it.  Prayer reinforces our faith every single time we do it.  It keeps us close to God, and closer to His divine understanding.  It strengthens our spiritual resolve, the personal relationship that we have with Jesus, and the familial bond that we have with other believers.

So never stop praying.  God always answers the prayers of His sons and daughters.  We do not understand His timing, or His reasons.  But we are rest assured that our God will always hear us.

You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows to him.
Job 22:27 NLT

Subtitled: What Is Love

1️⃣Love is not a bad thing.

  • all love comes from God
  • He is the source of all good things
  • the love that you have in you comes from God
  • the love that you have for others comes from God

2️⃣Love is something to be craved.

  • we are created in God’s image
  • by nature we need:
    • to have love
    • to give love
    • it is natural to pursue love

3️⃣Love is something to be shared.

  • we are created to be in relationships
  • there are many different kinds
    • depending on the Christian study, there are 3-4
      • Eros love – erotic love, between a man and a woman
      • Agape love – divine love, the one Jesus has for all of us
      • Phileo love – type of love Christians practice with one another; brotherly love or close friendship; conveys a strong feeling of attraction
      • Storge love – family love

4️⃣Love languages are different for every person.

  • we are all created unique and special
  • we express and experience love in different ways

Conclusion

Love is a wonderful thing. It becomes even more awesome when we realise that there is more than one kind open to us. God is just that good. Knowing the differences allows us to experience it more, in deeper and more meaningful ways.

📖Phileo Love in the Bible

Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. (Romans 12:10 ESV)

Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another… (1 Thessalonians 4:9, ESV)

Let brotherly love continue. (Hebrews 13:1, ESV)

Other Thoughts

We can never have too much of God in our lives, and since God is love, we can never have too much love.

There is value in appreciating the love that we have, and the love that we get from others.

There is wisdom in realising when we are abusing the word “love” by giving it our own definition, as opposed to recognising that it comes from God above all else.

Love (in all of its forms, at all times) should always be in context of what God says about it in His Word.

Philippians One-Six (Hope SG-Malolos City, Bulacan)

True that it would not be easy but this work is Not mine but the Lord’s. In all that we do for His kingdom will Not in vain.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. – 1 Corithians 15:58

And because Emmanuel – God is with us! I have no doubt for His work!!!

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9 ESV

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 ESV

The day ANEU B Salon & Spa was dedicated to the Lord as one of His House Churches in the Philippines

This maybe a different approach from my previous blogs about Word of God but the content will always be His Great Love.

Philippians 1:6 was one of my life verses that encourages, motivates, and my faith’s lifterer whenever I am down to nothing. This verse was my twin partner with my Proverbs 3:5-6.

When my spiritual life turned sky scraper in 2016 after attending Colour Conference of Hillsong Church, the Vision that the Holy Spirit had put in my heart became distinct and prominent. The “set-aside” moment of my spiritual giftings became the “main stream” in my walk of faith. The third in my priorities in life became first: faith, family, work.

I became “Lord, what do you want me do?” child of God–like. The spiritual revival was so strong! It brought me to my knees of humbleness in the presence of my Creator! As I am nothing without my Living God.

From that day on wards, slowly, the Lord had revealed to me what He wanted me to do for His kingdom sake. His purpose in me to pursue and made it complete in His time.

One of His purposes is for us –the fallen world to return back to Him and accept Him as the True Living God and as Lord and Savior. This could mean that we as Christians have to work hand-in-hand with our Savior.

And this made me compelled to work for His kingdom as the Lord second greatest commandment is to “Love others as yourself”.

Long ago, I wanted to have a Salon business. Reason because I love to go to the Salon to pamper myself and for my hair be cured the frizzy strands that was inborn in me.

But it would not happen as I wanted it long ago. The urge of that moment was not distinct and I do not have the courage to put it up.

I started to write it down in my prayer journal in 2016. It is one of my passion to pursue in ex-change of my work in corporate world–that’s my first reason. But the Lord changed the reason why I wanted to have a Salon. He will not remove your first passion But He will make it a more “satisfying” reason.

When the opportunity arises on the later part of 2017 to put up a Salon, the Lord had put this vision in my heart, that this Salon will become an “avenue for the lost souls” to draw near to His kingdom and not only one but to the succeeding branches.

March 3, 2018 when we launch it here in the Philippines. We’ve hired a christian staff to supervise the Salon while we are in SG; and to lead them in Bible Study as my first plan. But  it did not happen as we plan. Something happened to her and she had to resigned.

In my heart, I really wanted  this Salon to be a BiBle-based operations. But who will lead them? We are based in Singapore and I am working.  Though, my heart was no longer in my workplace as it became the last in my priority.

Monthly,  my husband and I will see to it, that we go back to see them personally and started to lead them in prayers and in meals we ate together. We saw the difference in their relationships if we are with them and praying together.

The urge of the Vision the Lord had put in my heart was became prominent since the last time we go back to the Philippines on 26 April for 6 days.

The moment I returned to SG, I resigned from my beloved company for about to 13 years. The position that I had in this company was not easy to leave but God made it NO regrets for me — leaving this company for His Kingdom-sake.

It was a total relieve when I tender. The breathable feeling was tangible. Now, I can focus more!!!

I thank my hubby, Gedeon for his undying support and love to me and most especially to God. Love you, Mahal!

Mid of June 2018, whe  we went back to the Philippines and we started to share the Word of God with them.
